HENLEY-IN-ARDEN, Warwickshire, 10/09/2026
Depotnet, the UK’s leading provider of job management software to the utilities and infrastructure sector, has announced the appointment of James Moore, as Managing Director. James succeeds Holly Dalby (Founder) and Darren Bridge (Executive Director), as they step back from day-to-day leadership after 15 years.
The appointment follows a planned succession process which began at the start of the year and follows on from a strong period of consistent 30%+ annualised growth over the period since Depotnet was acquired by Everfield in August 2023.
James brings valuable experience from the industry, having previously been part of the leadership team at Totalmobile, along with a solid, finance & commercial background garnered from his time at both Deloitte and Everfield. He will lead Depotnet’s existing senior team, who remain with the business, meaning continuity of day-to-day operations and contacts for customers.
Fifteen Years of Growth and Innovation
Following more than a decade of working in Utilities Software, Holly founded Depotnet Ltd in 2011 with the ambition to both demystify IT and to become the industry-leading technology layer between the operatives on site, tier one contractors and asset owners. Darren, sharing similar ambitions, joined the business in 2014, bringing decades of both operational & commercial experience in infrastructure and utilities. Depotnet today supports national asset owners, multi-utility tier one contractors and regional subcontractors working on water, power, gas, telecoms and transport network contracts across the UK and Ireland. It continues to deliver industry-leading innovations and invest heavily in its people and product.
Holly and Darren will both remain involved with the business in consultancy roles, providing strategic and commercial support to James and the senior leadership team as required through the transition.
Comments
“I am honoured to be joining Depotnet as Managing Director. Having worked closely with the business since 2023, I have seen it more than double in size under Holly and Darren’s leadership, and I am joining a company with real momentum, an experienced management team and an industry-leading product. My focus will be on continued investment in our platform and in the people behind it, so that Depotnet remains the first choice in the market. I would like to thank Holly and Darren for everything they have built and for the trust they have placed in me to take the business forward.”
“I have no doubt that James will continue to lead Depotnet to further growth. There has never been a period of such rapid change in technology – combined with a very buoyant industry, and a well-established senior leadership team, the experience James also brings to Depotnet should enable the business to continue to thrive.”
